EDO STATE’S CLEANLINESS REVOLUTION: A 100-DAY MILESTONE

In a remarkable display of commitment to transforming Edo State into the cleanest in Nigeria, the Edo State Waste Management Board has achieved impressive milestones within its first 100 days. This feat is a testament to the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who recently acquired state-of-the-art waste management equipment to bolster the board’s efforts.

 

The board’s Managing Director has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the cause, ensuring that the newly acquired machines were promptly deployed for evacuation services. This swift action has yielded tangible results, with the board successfully covering various areas across the state, including:

– Auchi Benin Expressway: A critical transportation artery now boasting improved sanitation.

– Benin Agbor Road: Enhanced waste management has transformed this major route.

– Aiguobasimwin Off Crescent and By Off Ikpopan: Residential areas now enjoy cleaner environments.

– Uselu, Oluku, Third by the Market, Upper Sakponba, Sapele Road, and Ekewan Road: These locations have all benefited from the board’s tireless efforts.

 

Waste Evacuation Interventions carried out at major black spots, including: Egba Market, Uwelu Spare Parts Market, Okha Market, Oba Market, Mission Road, Auchi Road, Aduwawa Market, New Benin Market, Oregbeni Market, Evbotubu Market and Usen Market.

 

The Managing Director’s hands-on approach and dedication to realizing the Governor’s vision have earned him recognition as a leader who delivers on his promises. As Edo State continues on its path towards becoming the cleanest state in Nigeria, the Waste Management Board’s progress serves as a shining example of effective governance and community collaboration.
